🇰🇪Kenya
East Africa's economic and technological hub. Nairobi hosts regional headquarters, Mombasa serves six countries, and Kenya leads the continent in mobile money and geothermal energy.
Economic overview
Kenya is East Africa's largest economy and the gateway to a region of 300 million people. Without oil or major mines, it built its growth on services, export agriculture, tourism, finance and technology. Nairobi is the African headquarters of the UN and hundreds of multinationals, and the continent's digital innovation capital since the invention of M-Pesa mobile money.
The country generates over 90% of its electricity from renewable sources, led by geothermal, making it a global model. Its agriculture exports tea, coffee, cut flowers, fruit and vegetables to Europe and, increasingly, the Gulf. The port of Mombasa and the new port of Lamu serve Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, eastern DRC and Ethiopia.
In 2025, Kenya and the UAE signed a comprehensive economic partnership agreement that opens markets and facilitates investment. Daily Nairobi–Dubai flights, a large Kenyan diaspora in the UAE and UAE investment in energy, real estate and agriculture make it one of the most natural markets for a Gulf investor.

Dubai as your operating base
For a UAE investor, Kenya is best worked from Dubai. The city offers the tools that are often missing on the ground: a Free Zone holding company to carry the stake, banks used to African flows, a recognised international arbitration framework, tax treaties and investment protection agreements, and regular flights to the continent. For an entrepreneur or institution from Kenya, Dubai is symmetrically the gateway to Gulf capital, commodity buyers and Asian industrial partners. ABC Consultancy sits in the middle of that bridge: we know both shores and we speak to both.

Frequently asked questions
Which Kenyan farm products interest the Gulf?
Avocados, mangoes, pineapples, fresh vegetables, cut flowers, tea, coffee, meat and dairy. Daily air logistics deliver to Dubai in under 24 hours.
Nairobi or Mombasa?
Nairobi for services, technology, real estate and regional headquarters; Mombasa for logistics, the port and beach tourism.
What is the minimum ticket to invest in Kenya with ABC Consultancy?
There is no fixed threshold: it depends on the sector and the format. An equity stake in a real estate project runs into millions of dollars, whereas a trading or real estate operation can start much lower. In the first conversation we tell you honestly whether your budget allows a serious transaction.
How long does a transaction take?
Expect three to six months between the scoping note and signature for a trading or real estate operation, and nine to eighteen months for a agriculture project requiring approvals, in-depth due diligence and structured financing.
How is ABC Consultancy paid?
Through engagement fees set in the scoping note, possibly completed by a success fee at signing. We never take hidden remuneration from a counterparty: our only loyalty is to you.
Do I need a Dubai company to invest in Kenya?
It is not mandatory, but it is often the best solution: a Free Zone holding carries the stake, benefits from tax treaties and protection agreements, and repatriates dividends within a clear framework. We set it up with you.
